Slow progress, but still progress

I didn’t sew yesterday because I meal planned and grocery shopped in the morning. During the kid’s rest time I laid down for a nap myself because we had evening plans and I was worn out.

Today, I was tempted to take a nap again, but I pushed myself to at least cut the fabric for the new pillow cover I am making. I did that, and once the fabric was cut I realized it wouldn’t take to long to sew the seams and put the cover on the pillow form.

So that’s done and now I just need to hand sew the opening I left for putting in the pillow form. I may start on that this evening and either finish it in one sitting or finish it tomorrow.

The next project – once the hand sewing on the pillow cover is finished – is the quilt top for my sister and her husband. I am hoping I can make progress on this quickly so I can get it done by the end of this month.

Tomorrow I can only sew in the morning due to my schedule, so I will work on cutting material for the quilt at the counter since I will be doing that while my youngest is awake. If I can get the pieces for 3 or 4 rows cut then I can sew those rows together at the sewing machine on Thursday.

Ok, now I am going to lay down for a few minutes before rest time is done since my toddler is still sleeping!
